Warehouse Receiving Manager
Lead a collaborative receiving team, keep inventory accurate and operations safe, and grow your warehouse leadership skills with comprehensive benefits.
Lead from the Front: Collaborative Warehouse Leadership
Are you an organized, energetic leader with a strong background in warehouse operations and inventory logistics? Doyles Sheehan is looking for a dynamic Warehouse Receiving Manager to co-lead our fast-paced receiving operations.
In our unique dual-manager structure, you will partner directly with an equal peer manager to run the department. You will maintain shared ownership of overall department performance, safety, and inventory accuracy, while dividing daily focus across two vital operational hubs:
Inbound Dock & Compliance: Taking charge of incoming freight, carrier check-ins, product verification, temperature monitoring (FSMA), and vendor documentation.
Breakdown, Put-Away & Replenishment: Driving efficient product breakdown, accurate slotting, daily stock replenishment, team coaching, and productivity.
What You’ll Do
Direct Shift Operations: Unload freight, coordinate lumper fees and CHEP pallet tracking, and organize daily incoming shipments.
Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, train, and schedule receiving and stocking associates. Conduct interviews, participate in annual reviews, and foster high team morale.
Inventory & Systems Management: Verify counts, inspect quality, scan products into AS/400, and handle buyer/vendor exceptions or damaged goods swiftly.
Ensure Compliance & Safety: Keep precise cold-chain temperature logs per FSMA standards, uphold OSHA warehouse safety practices, and maintain a secure dock.
Seamless Collaboration: Partner with your peer manager on daily shift handoffs, staffing balance, cross-house transfers, and workflow troubleshooting.
What You Bring
Experience: 1+ years of warehouse distribution experience. Prior team lead or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Equipment & Tech Skills: Certified/experienced on forklifts and material handling equipment. Confident using warehouse technology, barcode scanners, typing, and inventory management systems (AS/400 experience a plus).
Operational Drive: Solid organizational habits, basic math proficiency, and the ability to thrive and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Capability: Ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for shift duration (up to 12 hours) and lift 30 lbs consistently (up to 70 lbs intermittently).
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
